About

I am an artist designer and technologist living in San Francisco, CA. From a young age, science and creativity have been my greatest passions. While studying Studio Art at New York University, I became increasingly interested in how technology can inform the way people interact with their environment and each other. My senior thesis was an interactive meditation chamber, a full room built like a temple with raise cantilever floors. The room slowly played back the sounds of the audience at a great delay slowly establishing the resonance of the space.

After a period of reflection after the passing of my father, I decided to return to the three callings I had set out for myself as a young child. I dreamt of being an inventor, an artist, and an oceanographer. Robots were the obvious solution to all three. They move, enphysicate, and communicate. They push the bounds of technology and understanding. Finally, they enable new interactions and exploration, from the deepest oceans to the vastness of space. When I was crafting the Diskinect Project, often I would say to myself: "I would love to design robots."
